LAHERTE Les Grandes Crayères 2018

Discover this wine of the series of "Terroir Fundamental Cuvées" which manifests the particular and complex Terroir of Les Coteaux Sud d’Epernay : a plot with soft soil and Campanian Chalk present at 20 cm depth. This is another singly vineyard creation from Aurélien Laherte who decided to present this Chardonnay with finesse and structure.

Cultivation :

Ecological, vines grown with respect to nature. 

Assemblage : 

100% Chardonnay. Selection Massale and blend of new and old rootstocks. West facing plot.

Vinification :

• Picked by hand when fully riped
• Traditionally pressed
• Alcoholic fermentation made in barrels
• No Malolactic fermentation
• Ageing on fine lees for 30 months.
• Disgorgment by hand.
• Dosage : 2-4 g/l.

Antonio Galloni 96/100 : The most impressive wine in this range. Bright and finelysculpted, it possess dazzling energy to match its mid-weight personality. I very much admire the wine's drive and precision.
